ABASTRACT
Prophet’s entry in Madinah was not an usual event, People of Madinah were divided in different tribes and the main population consisted of A’us and Khazraj, who were on fratricidal war for last six years. Jews another community besides other groups,were living independent life and they were broadly divided in three tribes- Banu Qainuqa, Banu Nadhir and Banu Quraidha, Two main groups (A’us and Khazraj) had entered into the fold of Islam and the other group belongs to Makkah (Muhajireen) who has taken asylum there. Christians are almost negligible – In such a complex society it was necessary to bring them together on some common rules and regulations. In order to safeguard the purpose of Islam Prophet called all the factions on some common points particularly for the defence of Madinah from unbelievers and it was documented. The common document is known as Mithaq-i Madinah or Kitab-i Madinah .The reason for this is that one who denies the truth is faithful only to his own self
